How to allow cracked players to join your server

Minecraft stands out as one of the most popular video games ever released, with a staggering 300 million copies sold worldwide. Despite its immense popularity, a significant portion of players, about 36%, admit to using pirated copies of the game. This allows them to enjoy the game without purchasing an official copy. However, there's a catch: players with cracked versions cannot join servers. Nevertheless, many have found a workaround, enabling them to play on multiplayer servers using cracked copies. This article will guide you through the process of enabling cracked players into the servers.

What is Online Mode

The Online mode setting on the server determines if players need to log in to Mojang's servers to connect to your Minecraft server. Through this process, players can use their profile skins, confirming their identity. If you turn off Online mode, Mojang's servers won't confirm player identities before they join your server. This means your server won't check if the user is who they say they are, allowing anyone to log in using any username. In the next few steps, we will guide you through the process of turning the Online mode off.

Note: Profile skins and other features will be disabled as Mojang's servers won't authenticate users.

How to Disable Online Mode

Log into the control panel
Choose the server where you wish to deactivate online mode.

Ensure your server is not currently running. If it is running, please stop the server.
Navigate to the Files tab, and locate the "server.properties" file. After finding the line online-mode=true, set the value to "false" and save the file.

Click on the console tab, start the server, and your server should start in offline mode, allowing cracked or offline players to join

These steps cover all you need to do to allow players with cracked versions of Minecraft to join servers.
